Piano Prodigy
We had company for dinner tonight. After dinner and before going to bed Josiah gave his first public concert on the piano. He played a little bit sitting on my lap. His playing is more like pounding, but we call it playing nonetheless. After a couple of minutes, he had to pause to turn the page. Then he started playing again. After a round of applause, he switched and sat on daddy's lap for a while. He then proceeded to "play" up and down the keyboard as Steve slid across the bench. Then Steve began playing "Heart and Soul" and Josiah joined in for the closing duet! After another round of applause and a bow, Josiah headed to bed where he is now sleeping. One of these days I will get his piano playing on video and hopefully post it here. It is hilarious!!

The "turning the page" part is awesome. I love that babies mimic what they see. Once, when Jake was really little, he had a baby laptop. He was pretending to type away, and he appeared to be getting really angry. He slammed the laptop shut and said, "d*** it!!". My mom said, "Jake, what are you doing?!?!?" and he said, "working, like Daddy"....
